Visitors to the William F. Moricle Park at the 601 Piedmont Avenue entrance can enjoy tennis, sand volleyball, walking trails, a full-size playground and 4 picnic shelters with charcoal grills. The three smaller shelters are available free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. The large picnic shelter by the playground is available on a rental basis. Reservations and payment can be made by phone 336-449-7241 or in person at 314 10th Street. Baseball and soccer fields can be accessed by a short drive through the park or by a second entrance at 316 Boonwood Drive.
Visitors to Edward G. Murrell Park at 315 10th Street, just across the street from the community center can take advantage of the playground, basketball court, picnic shelter and a paved walking path.
